Welcome to Wedding Videographer Surrey!
I will email a welcome guide, it’s going to outline the decisions that need to be made and the practicalities of having a videographer present at your wedding. For example, if you want a drone we need to know we can fly it at the venue you have chosen. This is the part where we get to know exactly the format and structure of the main edit as you see it. I recommend you book WVS at this stage, a 20% deposit secures the date for you. (See terms, below) We provide you a timeline questionnaire so we are all on the same page.
3.
Wedding Timeline Questionnaire
This isn’t needed until about a week before the wedding day but this makes it crystal clear what is happening and when. It forms the plan upon which we rely to get the best shots, so it’s absolutely crucial to making a great video because we need to be in position to get the shots you want. We can help you fill it out if necessary.
4.
The Big Day
You relax and enjoy the biggest day of your life, we do the work! There’s always last minute hick-ups but we adapt as the day unfolds, just like you will.
5.
Delivery
You can expect the 1min social media highlights edit within 48 hours of the time we finish. The main edit will be delivered no later than a month after the big day (unless there are delays licensing the commercial music you requested)
We provide Affordable Wedding Videography:
Detailed terms and conditions are provided directly to you by request and are for genuine clients only.
Terms and conditions listed here are just an outline of these.
1 – a 20% deposit of the written quote is required to cement a booking. The booking isn’t made unless this 20% is received into the WVS business account.
2 – The balance of the quote must be made at least 21 days in advance of the wedding day or we will cancel the booking and keep the deposit.
3 – In the unlikely scenario that the wedding venue needs to be changed or the date of the nuptials changes, we need as much notice as possible. WVS will work with clients to adjust to any changes, especially when an act of god or an unforeseen circumstances forces the use of alternative venues etc. However, if there’s a cost implication because of this, the clients must pay the extra charges before the main edit can be released to them. WVS will endeavour to flag up any increased costs as soon as they present themselves.
4 – In the unlikely event that the date is changed because of an unforeseen circumstance and WVS cannot attend because we have another booking for the amended date, WVS would relinquish any commitments made and return all funds paid bar 10%.
5 – The Copyright of any media shot or processed by WVS is retained by WVS.
6 – Media generated by WVS at the client’s wedding can be used by WVS to promote WVS. (Especially on the WVS website and social media). If this is a problem for you this must be flagged to WVS when you request a quote.
7 – Any media shot by WVS at your wedding cannot be sold or given away free to another party without the express permission of the client. (So, for example, if the groom falls over into the wedding cake we will not sell that footage to “You’ve Been Framed” unless you are happy to do so)
8 – WVS are happy to make changes to the main edit. However, these changes must be reasonable. By that we mean, numerous and repeated alterations will NOT be accommodated without a surcharge. Changes to an edit can take a long time, and as people are paid per hour, time literally becomes money. The WVS ethos is to provide a highly crafted main edit with a format that has been pre-agreed with the clients. WVS aims to make the clients extremely happy with the WVS media but repeated adjustments requested by clients will incur extra charges to be paid before the edit is released. (If we miss out Auntie Molly in the first version, we can always add her if that’s important to you, that’s totally justified. However, to deviate from the format previously agreed ahead of the wedding means significant surcharges because the edit will need to be started again and that extra editing needs to be financed.)
9 – The client can have full editorial control over their wedding edit but this will incur a significant surcharge and MUST be flagged at the start of our engagement. (Depending on what format the client wants to pursue, a ballpark figure of £50 per hour editing at our Camberley HQ x 10 hours =£500) So the client must attend our HQ for this option to work. Unless you have a background in Film/ TV production we don’t recommend this option. Trust WVS, the professionals, we know what “works” best.
